Resident House

Located just a five minute walk uphill from the studio, our on-site resident house provides artists with a comfortable place to call home during their time at Cub Creek Foundation.

Communal Areas

  • 2 office areas - desks, chairs, bookshelves, lamps, and printers

  • Living room with smart TV, DVD, VHS players, and movie collection

  • Collection of art, cook, and other books throughout the house 

  • Small workout area with treadmill, stationary bike, yoga mats, and weights

  • Two Full bathrooms with showers

  • Laundry facilities (washer and dryer)

  • Large mudroom with storage shelf for each resident

  • Fiber Optics WIFI - Riverstreet WIFI

  • Two wall-mounted heating and AC units on lower floor

Kitchens

2 large kitchens with dining areas located on the ground floor of the house. Each kitchen provides:

  • fridge

  • microwave

  • toaster oven

  • electric water kettle

  • pottery, cookware, dishware

  • cooking utensils

  • french press coffee maker

Bedrooms

The resident house offers six private bedrooms on the second floor of the house. Each bedroom includes:

  • -pillows, and linens

  • -dresser

  • -window AC unit

  • -bedside lamp

House Policies

  • As a communal living space, residents are expected to keep all areas of the house clean and presentable at all times. This includes all communal areas, bathrooms, and bedrooms.

  • To avoid attracting ants, no food should be left in the bedrooms, on the counters, or communal areas.

  • Remove muddy shoes in the mudrooms before walking into the house

  • Residents are encouraged to have “House” meetings to discuss any shared expenses such as: cleaning supplies, paper products, any shared common food.

  • All dirty dishes must be cleaned immediately after use. No dirty dishes should be left anywhere in the house.

  • Pets are not allowed in any part of the resident house. Although stray animals occasionally visit the property, they should never be let into the house or studios.

  • Residents are expected to treat house-mates and their belongings with respect. Any form of harassment, stealing, or abuse will not be tolerated.

  • Residents are responsible for all cleaning and upkeep of the house. There is no cleaning crew. Any broken appliances should be reported to the director immediately
