The wood kiln is a Noborigama and has three chambers. The tube
of the kiln
fires similar to an Anagama. The second chamber produces flashing,
random
ash deposits and richly reduced glazes. The third chamber
has salt and/or soda introduced to provide additional effects.
The total kiln is over 500 cubic feet. In any given firing all of the chambers may be fired, a couple, or just one.
